Miniature French Portrait in Gilded Gold Round Frame

A French portrait, most likely reverse painting or image on glass, circa late 19th to early 20th century, featuring a serene woman in Renaissance-style attire. With a signature, but I am unsure if this is an original. The portrait is housed in a richly patinated round wooden frame with a gilded brass ribbon crest and hanging loop. A charming piece of art history ideal for a gallery wall or tabletop vignette. Measures 4.5" x 5.5". Found at a little out of the way antique shop in Paris.
