Antique French Night Light Box, “À La Marguerite” Veilleuses de l’Avenir

A beautifully preserved oval paper box labeled À La Marguerite, once containing 50 night lights (veilleuses) for oil lamps or warming beverages. The lid features gorgeous typography and vintage instructions, while the box still holds many of the original floating metal cross wicks. A wonderful glimpse into early 20th-century French domestic life—perfect for display or collection.
