Antique French Tapestry Woven Trim, 18th Century Louis XVI Era Textile Fragment

A rare and richly detailed French tapestry trim from the late 1700's to early 1800's, likely Louis XVI or Empire period. Woven in deep vegetal-dyed tones with stylized scrollwork, this textile was likely used as galloon for drapery, ecclesiastical garments, or furnishing trim. A true survivor, this fragment shows heavy wear and age, but retains its elegant beauty and historic significance — a museum-worthy textile for framing or study.
Condition: shows significant age-related wear consistent with its age. There are multiple areas of thread loss, fraying along the edges, small holes, and some thinning or separation in the weave.
